Future-ready + eco-savvy.

I co-piloted as one of the main people responsible for the Homewhiz ecosystem for two years, overseeing various aspects, including physical interfaces, mobile experiences, and holistic smart home interactions. I worked on connected appliances like robot vacuum cleaners, air quality devices, and kitchen appliances.

During this time, I led a design-driven task force, collaborating with developers and PMs to implement UX improvements across complex areas such as onboarding, eco-feedback, interoperability, consent practices, cybersecurity, and user advocacy. I also played a key role in designing and maintaining a design system alongside my colleagues.

Here are some selected projects that I was responsible for:

A seamless experience across the ecosystem, by acknowledging the ever-growing needs of the smarthome.

By fostering collaboration across teams and adopting interconnected documentation practices, we created a self-nurturing synchronization of UX processes that promote aligned autonomy. The system evolves organically around a shared visual language, uniting all elements seamlessly and ensuring a consistent product experience.

Design System

We began by identifying common patterns across existing product typologies and established a high-level list of requirements. Existing assets were organized by features, product categories, and projects, aligning them with our master templates. Configurations and structures were defined for various library types (Core, Product, App, project-specific, etc.). Later, an action sheet and detailed plan were developed to guide the implementation process.

Increasing the comfort of asthma patients at home, supported by a network of medical professionals.

Air is intended to be used alongside with regular consultations with medical professionals within a product-service system. The device and the app assess the air quality along with the patient and symptom data to give insights that can help associate the particular sensitivities with their triggering allergens or parameters. The data is stored in the cloud to be shared with medical professionals according to users’ given consent.

Allergen Detector

Corensis Air is an allergen-detecting air purifier that learns from the habits of its users by encouraging them to keep a symptom diary to later provide articulated insights about their symptom patterns.

Empowering homebodies to make smarter, greener choices through eco-feedback.

It makes use of the slow-consumed and abstract medium sound, aiming to remedy our obsessive and distracting relationships with today's visual-based digital realm, encouraging us to be present in the moment, and reflect on past experiences through soundscapes.

We started the design process by talking to a sound expert who is experienced in nature field recordings. He described his time recording in nature as a state of deliberate mindfulness where the individual focuses on stillness [as to not disturb the recording] and immersion. His shared experiences and insight inspired us to explore sound as a grounding element in tech.
